In what ways does your media product use,develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Originally i answered this question on a word document,but felt it was a little boring and wanted to answer all my questions differently.So i decided to make a video instead...

Here is my magazine finished side by side.As you can see i have an obvious contnuity in my colour scheme.I wanted to achieve this from the very beginning,so my overall magazine looks like it all fits together as one.I thought if i used different colours throughout it wouldnt look like a realistic product,so this why i kept continutiy in mind.Im really happy with my final outcomes,i feel ive come on alot from my very first drafts.I took inspiration from exsisting products and my own ideas to create a music magazine i would not only buy myself,but other people would buy to.From the very beginning i always wanted my product to look fit for purpose at the end,and i feel i achieved this.

Double Page Spread Draft 2

So this is my second double page spread draft.I decided to keep working on my previous one to make it better.I added a 'drop cap' to the start of the text to not only keep to conventions but to make it look more professional and neater.I then spaced the text into actual collums,and not just single text boxes.After this I decided to add a 'photographer' name to the bottom right of the page,as ive seen this occur in alot of magazines to.I decided the bright pink boxes i used last tme looked quite heavy on the eye and bulky so swapped them for white as I felt the text cold be read better without you been distarcted from the actual content.After this i made two black boxes to put some additional information in,and i felt this tied up the interview and gave the audience and opportunity to act further on what theyve read.Finally I added some social networking logos in to make it look relaistic and asif the audience reading my magazine could get involved,and changed the page number to the right so it was more visiable and made it pink so it stood out more.

After looking closely at the theme of colours i wanted to use i decided to change the pink back ground and use a white one,i felt this made it look alot more professional and easier to read-it also looks alot cleaner.I then edited the masthead and slogan colours and changed the light pinks into a darker shade so they stood out more.After this i changed the font of the text to make it more bolder.By having my contents page like this I feel it works alot better,it means the continuity of my colour scheme can run through properly with everything looking asif it fits together.I also think it just overall looks alot better this way.

So this is my third contents page draft.I really liked how the last one look but felt the yellow and blue was hard to read after getting feedback from my teacher.I decided to keep the yellow and blue background to fit in with the theme but chage the text to black.I did this for all the text headings so they were easily.I also used black borders to neaten up the page,i also chnaged the photo as youre not allowed to use exsint images,so it took a photo of some friends and changed the 'battle of the groups' article.
