Digital Mock Ups

The first digital mock up i created was feauting Katy Perry.I went for a bold, bright and colourfull colour scheme to follow the POP convention.I decided to locate my mast head in the top left of the page so its saw first,i did this as a example for my final music magazine,so i remember that the mast head needs to be the most seen/one of the most visible things on the front cover.I chose to make all the text so that it fits in with the colour scheme to.I found that working on certain colours proved difficult when wanting to use just black text,as it merged in and wasnt visible-so i had to play about with this.I think this colour scheme really works well as its bright and eyecapturing-just what you want when trying to sttract the customers eye.I also decided to incluse an 'exclusive' footer at the bottom of the magazine as an example to remember to possibly use these on my final magazine as theyre a good way to add extra inportant info onto the front.

This was the second digital mock up i did.I decied to go with a much more sterotypical 'male' colour scheme.I did this as i wanted the front cover to compliment the article on Justin Bieber,as, if i used pink and oranges it maybe wouldnt have the same effect. This time i made the masthead a lot bigger and placed it at the top right,so see which worked well.I like the way i faded out the text which says 'BIEBER' i like it because i think it looks quite sophsicated and looks good on the eye,as when i just left it normal,it looked quite bulky and out of place.I think the pose of Justin really works well with the feature story i chose, his pose suggests hes got a secret or hiding something, and the complimenting feature story i chose is called 'THE TRUTH' so the customer can see the overall front cover works hand in hand with each other.I didnt over crown this front cover to as i felt it didnt need it,the dominant image of Justin is the main focual point and people who like him/are intrested him are bound to pick it up with such a big image being used on the front cover.

For this digital mock up i decided to encorperate the colours used with the iage as the colour scheme.I found this photo of Jessie J on google and decided to use the pinks used for her nails/lips and purples and blacks as inspiration for the colour scheme.By doing this i believed i created a mock up of a pop magazine that compliments the main feature image and works well together. Here on this one i decided to make th mast head the laegest peice of text and i think it works really well, its stands out and is straight away visible.I also like the placement of the text i used here to.I udes pull quotes on this front cover to make it more appealing to the audience by showing small snippets of what the magazine articles have to offer insed-i beluieve this is a great selling point.
I then included a plug to entice the customers even more by offering to win tickets with the featuring artist, again this compliments the magazine as if the proze/competetion was a chance to win tickets to miley cyrus,it wouldnt compliment it very well and could be quite confusing.
I like the position of Jessies pose on this too,for my music magazine i aim to use this pose as i think it portrays dominance and is a pose that looks feirce and confident at the same time.
