Respone to the Focus group video

After filming my focus group video i re watched it and analysed the findings of the questions. I interviewed 3 people in the hope they all had various views so that i could get a broad idea of opinions.

What i found most useful was what people where prepared to pay for a magazine, and what entice them to buy it.I found the answers slightly differet than whqat i imagined, but understood why this was someons opinion.By asking these questions its allowed me to revaluate some of my ideas, ive decided to lower the price of my magazine to a price more realistic e.g 99p rather than £1.50 and its also influenced me to decide who should feature on the front.

As i found from this focus group, layout/presentation/feature artists plays a big part in attracting people to buy that magazine, so im making sure i concentrate on this when i create my own.Its allowed me to consider colour schemes more carfully, and be selective when choosing which artist will attract the largest audience.

Over all after asking these questions it has not made me worry and think i need to change everything, but its helped me tweak certain parts e.g feature artists/price etc into being more realistic and approariate to my targeted audience. So im golad i did this focus group as if  didnt,i wouldnt of considerd other opinions, and could of possibly gone on to make a unsucsessful magazine.

Without this outside knowledge i could’ve been very narrow minded when creating my magazine ,so its important i take into account other people’s opinions, as they may be able to point out something i wouldn’t of.This has helped me understand what most people look for when selecting a magazine to buy,and gave me knowledge into what i should therefore feature/put on my magazine.
