This is a
medium close up shot.I took this image to experiment with how the model would
look central, but i dont think it worked very well. This is because theres to
much white space around the model and this draws away the attenton form her
face. Also the lighting is poor in the corners which stands out and creates an
un-sucsessful image.
This is a medium close up shot from a high angle.I
really like the angle of this image,i think if the model was abit closer to the
cameraa this type of shot could really work it allows the model to translate
emotion to the reader because of how close up she is.I also like the lighting
on this image i think it illuminates the side of the face and shows
definition.Id really consider this type of shot for my magazine.
This is a medium shot. The lighting here i think is
really good, its bright enough to create definition without bleaching the model
out.I also like the eye contact from the model to the camera,i think it wrks
really well and draws you to it.On the other hand,to improve this image id
change the pose, although the pose creates effect i think the hand it to close
to the face, and actually draws attention away from it. magazine.
This is a two shot,i took this image to experiment
with how an image would look when two models are featured. This is one of the
best images i took out of 10 i think, this is because both models have direct
eye contact with the camera therefore drawing you in.I think the lighting
compliments both models and overall creates an image that could be really
successful for a magazine.
This is a group shot.I really likke the way group
shots look, however,i think this one looks quite messy.I think the framing is
slightly off too, also the fact some of the models are smiling and some are not
looks confusing and you cant grasp what the image is portraying. If i were to
use a group image id make sure all the models dress code complimented each
other;all models were posing the same/had complimenary poses;and maybe put them
in height order.
This is
an example of a medium close again.I like this image but the model isn't
really translating much emotion. The pose is quite ambiguous and could be
miss-interpreted.Also the full frontal positioning of the model looks quite
bulky and not really flattering, time time id maybe turn the model o a side so
it would look better.
This is a medium two shot.Firstly the lighting is
terrible, when taking the image i didn't realise how dark the light was making
the image so i would definitely make sure i wouldn't make this mistake on the
final photos i take. Also the models themselves look quite distant as if they're
not together, which translates quite badly. Also only one model is posing so
again looks quite confusing.
This is an example of a long shot.I wouldn't use one
of these personally on a front cover as i think its hard to make a long shot
look good, but i was experimenting fro say the DPS.How ever this image turned
out bad.The floor is really distracting with all the wires and takes away most
of the attention from the image. Also the image its self is really blurry and
framed wrong. This image was really unsuccessful.
This is a medium close up shot.I like the framing
of this image, although theres a little space around the image when id add my
masthead and cover lines i think it would work well.I also like the pose of the
model, its a simple pose and the main features is here eyes,as the direct eye
contact draws you to look at her.The lighting is slightly off and i think the
model would look better if she was bent further towards to camera but with a
few tweaks this type of shot could work really well.
This is a two shot again.I decided to use these two
model for the two shot to again see what it would look like if i swapped a
model. Here i think this two shot works well because the lighting again is
flattering, and both of the models eye contact works well together. To improve id
frame the shot better and make the models closer to the camera to create more
of an impact.
